“If You Can’t Pay, Don’t Call Me” – Mercy Johnson Blasts Movie Marketers

Star actress, Mercy Johnson, has decided to call the bluff of movie marketers who vowed to ban her for being too expensive, telling them to stop calling her for movie jobs if they cannot afford her fee.
The marketers, it was alleged, had planned to blacklist her because of her exorbitant fee which is in the region of N1.8 to N2 million naira but Mama Purity has told them to go to hell if they cannot pay her. She advised the marketers complaining about her fees and services to try other actresses if they can’t afford her. The marketers want to follow the example they set some few years ago when they placed a blanket ban on actors they felt were too expensive. Some of those affected then included Genevieve Nnaji, Rita Dominic, Ramsey Noauh, and others.
But Mercy seems not to be perturbed with the threat. Apart from her tweets to that effect, she had this words for them: “what’s wrong when you keep quiet till you know what’s up? No petition, no complain, just fees. Those who can’t afford Heineken should stick to ‘Kain kain’ (local gin consumed in Nigeria).”
